The Lights EP consists of two powerful, energetic, inviting tracks on the dancefloor: from the happy marriage of a strong guitar chord and a simple bass line, the main track “Bring Your Lights” originates, while “The Palace”, an explicit reference to the mind as home or “palace”, stages a deeper and introspective sound.

An emotional appeal to the sparks that shape our essence and the importance of pre- serving and guarding it, as guests inside a building.
An awareness of the vision of the aura that lives within our soul, in a delicate celebration of the practice of externalizing oneself towards the unknown, where judgment is always around the corner and vulnerability easily emerges on the surface.

“Bring Your Lights” is the musical journey that tells the awareness of this mystical path, where emotions and interiority are manifested. “The Palace” expresses the con- cept of the place that hosts it, a room for the character.

The releases for 2022 of Villahangar continue, which welcomes autumn with a new re- lease: the label launches on October 7th “The Lights”, the new EP by the Mexican artist Vice Luna, at his debut with the label.

Born in San Luis Potosi, raised in Puerto Vallarta, a seaside locality in the Pacific, his nomadic soul led him to live in different places, and now he has resided in Milan for th- ree years. Infinite explorer, constantly looking for spiritual musical encounters thanks to neo-psychedelic guitars and space synthesizers, he creates an eclectic sound full of cultural influences.

His music has flowed in abstract directions since he started, exploring different instru- ments and modes of expression: to the musical bases of the rock & blues of the 60s and 70s, with heavy riffs and lysergic strings, it blends a deep, organic sound and subtle more progressive rhythms, melodic lines and deep grooves.

It’s a moment of great excitement for him: he is Dj Resident of The Sanctuary Milano, the new super cool destination of the Milanese nightlife, and after the recent remix of Makossa’s song “Infinitum” on Hupupa Records, many of his creations are ready to come to light soon. The Lights EP is the forerunner, which title already hints at the inspi- ration of the project: the need to protect one’s inner energy, to bring it to the surface and let it flow freely, without any constraint. A light that from the interior becomes external, in a path sheltered from everything and everyone.
