#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week :
TOSHKA (Everything Counts)
Bulgarian by origin, resident in Italian Switzerland, DJ and music producer since 2000: for this week’s #MusicInTheAir podcast Toshka, half of Everything Counts, the project created together with Chris Leon, returns as the protagonist.
The list of labels with which she has already collaborated in the past is long: 3000 Grad Records, Cosmic Awakenings, Lump Records, Sudam Recordings, Radiant, Villahangar, Connected, MoBlack Records, Kinessen, And Other Moods, 3-4-1 Cuts, Seven Villas Music, Pipe & Pochet.
For the most recent releases, last summer the track “Mbodiene” by Everything Counts, released on MoBlack Records in January, was released in July on the famous compilation that takes its name from the famous club Buddha Bar – “Peace & Love & Summer”, by the Parisian of Mauritanian origin resident Dj Ravin, active for more than twenty years.
In late August, Everything Counts released the “Over Me” EP on Pipe & Pochet, while in late summer, a remix of Leo Guardo feat Andile Mbili’s track “Afraid” was released on Enzo Siffredi’s Wired label.
In autumn, in October, with the American label Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, the EP “It’s time”, with the track “Kamancheh”, the remixes by Majnoon and Socko, the track that gives the title to the EP, and “Sueno”.
At the end of 2021, on the MoBlack label, the remix in collaboration with Migra of “Alasidi” by Afel Bocoum.
Release but also the radio for Toshka together with Chris: every Thursday, for a year now, they are at Pure Ibiza Radio.
Summer 2022 is a work in progress, but we expect some news.
For Villahangar she has compiled her TOP 5 of the last period. Here are the songs that in recent months have conquered and fascinated her, each for a reason.
1. Luca Bacchetti – The Unexpected Return of Pluto – Endless
A deep, spatial track! It remembers the atmosphere of the famous track Oxigen by Jaen Michelle Jare. Luca Bacchetti is always one of my favorite producers who always fascinates me with his impeccable sound.
2. Pawas – Dhun – Seven Villas
This track immediately entered my heart with its “complex simplicity” of overwhelming sounds and melodies of an infinite trip.
3. Ali Kuru – Mazlum (Satori Remix) – Sol Selectas
The somewhat western trend of this track, opens in my mind images of wild places and life of distant worlds. Ali Kuru is a producer who always intrigues me and that I love, Satori, the remixer, is always impeccable in his musical imprint.
4. Jean Caillou – Pulsar – Bunte Kuh
A mental journey, produced by an artist who always fascinates me so much with his imaginative and profound sounds.
5. Andi Muller – Lowkey 95 – Seven Villas
Another track of the label “Seven Villas” that I respect very much and have been following for years. A sparkling and joyful track with fluttering elements that put me in a good mood.
