#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week :
TONY L ISSAC
More and more artists that Villahangar proposes for his weekly Podcat. Today the spotlight is on the DJ & producer Tony L Issac. Originally from Egypt, he lives in Los Angeles, California.
Tony L Issac was born and raised in Egypt. He lived in Dubai for four years and traveled between the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven Emirates of the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, also touching European cities such as Barcelona and Antalya in Turkey.
His musical activity began in the early 2000s – although his first encounter with music dates back to 2004, in Egypt -, producing several remixes.
His origins have given a substantial imprint to his music: with the background of Arab culture, he infuses his music with clearly Middle Eastern musical vibrations. At the moment, he is dedicating himself to a melodic house, deeper and oriental while, when he takes off his DJ headphones, he loves the rock and classical genres.
He is very active on the djing front: as a DJ he has touched different parts of the world. He started in his home country, in Egypt, and then touched: Dubai, Beirut and Europe, in major clubs, festivals such as Burning Man and private events. But he is also an event planner: he is in fact Co-Founder of Massar Los Angeles, with whom he organizes musical events.
What were your most recent projects and what projects are you part of? What about Massar LA?
Massar LA is our passion. Me and the team are working hard for it.Â
Massar LA is the path we are following, we started in Egypt, then Dubai, United States and Ecuador. We are working hard to get people together from everywhere. Â
The upcoming event will be on July 2nd to 4th in Joshua Tree, California.
What can you tell us about Burning Man?
Burning Man is a totally different experience for me. Mind blowing. Everything it is has a sound and movement and smell at this magical land. I never saw a beautiful sunrise and sunset like that in my life. Stages, music, talents wow! You can feel the vibe everywhere and the most important thing is the people.Â
Your artists / DJs / producers of reference or what advice do you follow?
the artists whose sound I really love and that help me a lot are Eric Morillo, Behrouz, Bedouin, Nicolas Jaar, Zone, Armen Miran  and many more.
What are your plans for the present and the immediate future? Do you have any new projects coming up?
I’m so happy for my upcoming first release in June with one of my favorite producers and a good friend Pablokey. We can’t wait to share it.Â
