This week Villahangar’s #MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts Tania Moon, dj from Valencia, Spain.
First of all there are three words to define this artist’s sound: firstly elegance, sensitivity and forcefulness. But not only: secondly there is also innovation, without having to be afraid to experiment and push oneself towards new borders.
At the same time it is fundamental to her to always be updated on the new releases, in order to accompany the audience in their discovery. Consequently, revealing therefore a strong capability to always being on point and the will to contribute in making the news of the musical landscapes known.
Therefore, her sets are carefully structured presenting the last beats, going from the most delicate deep house to the most accurately selected techno.
An artist present in the electronic music world since she was only 15, she worked with the most important promotes in the South of Spain. But her debut to the plates was in 2009, and thereafter she began to play regularly in one of the most important clubs in Costa del Sol.
In 2011 Tania Moon made another important step for her artistic career: it was then that she decided to move to Ibiza in order to pursue her dream to become an always more known and great dj.
Thereby she soon started to play in various clubs and parties of the island and little by little she obtain success thanks to her personal style.
This soon led her to distinguish herself and in 2013 Tania became dj resident for “So Cool” at Ibiza’s Pacha and Lio Ibiza during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
She played in various clubs: names such as Space, Privilege, Blue Marlin, Zoo Project, Km5. But also Bora Bora, Nassau, Ocean Drive, Kuhmaras, Savannah, Sushi Point, Veto, Ocean Beach, to name some.
She also performed during the years at Lovin Ibiza Festival and at South Moon Festival, one of the most famous musical festivals in Costa del Sol.
Always in Spain, she also played at Macarena in Barcelona, and at Playa Padre in Marbella and then also in various clubs in Valencia, Malaga and Madrid.
However, not only Spain for her: at an international level she regularly plays in clubs in countries such as Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, and others.
She is part of the Privilege World Tour Booking, where she will perform in some of her events. For her there is also a radio program, a fixture: in fact currently she presents “Ecoama Djs” with Cristina Molina, program broadcasted to Ibiza Global Radio every Thursday from 16 to 17 in the afternoon.
How do you approach a dj set? Which is your way of conveying emotions?
I prepare each session with great affection, each set is special, each place, each moment … I always try to find the ideal music for each situation and never repeat any set, I like to keep up with the music and always show news. Furthermore seeing how the public reacts to unknown topics is what I like the most.
Which song do you listen to when you take off your DJ headphones?
I usually listen to electronic music of all kinds, eventually I listen to some pop and rock.

I don’t have any special reference artists, I like many.
How was your podcast born?
It’s a mix of deep melodic and afro with a novelty from VillaHangar, some tracks from producer friends who are very talented and I like to show to the world.
What does it mean for you to be able to spread your music with Villahangar?
Well, it is a real pleasure to be able to express myself through VillaHangar and to be able to connect with people even from a distance. First, it is very important at this time to stay active and to support each other. Moreover, also to continue making people happy with our music. Finally, to return shortly with more strength, I am so very grateful to do this podcast.
