Today for #MusicInTheAir’s Podcast is the turn of Paul Bones : dj and producer with Italian blood based in Switzerland since 2008.

Creative, dynamic and with a wild passion for electronic music – to which he adds Jazz, Chill out and Bossanova for moments of relaxation – he creates dj sets that mix technical cleanliness and sophisticated atmospheres: a skillful blend of bass, deep sounds and vibes coming from all over the world are the ingredients that make every single performance of his unique.

For him the watchword is freedom: he avoids defining in precise categories his productions and the music protagonist of his dj sets, he loves to experiment and to always reach new musical boundaries, in the aim of improvement, growth and always new collaborations with colleagues from the music landscape.

He just released his latest EP “34 lakeside str.” last April 23^rd, with news coming by the end of the year.

Which are your artists / DJs / producers of reference?

One of my favorite DJ is Lee Burridge. He had a great evolution in the last ten years and he helped many new talents to release great music through his Label All Day I Dream.

Which song do you listen to when you take off your DJ headphones?

When I remove the dj headphones I’m still a Dj and that is why I spend a lot of time away from the console continuously looking for new sounds for my sets, but when the day comes to the end, from my speakers you can hear tons of Jazz, Chill out and Bossanova.

Which is the recommended track in this DJ set? 

Guy J and Clarian – Night rescue 
This track is a magic trip. Deep and well built melodies bring you into an emotional game. Two of my favorite producers of the last 5 years.

How do you foresee your summer, both in your everyday life and from an artistic point of view?

We are living in a strange time, it’s very difficult to foresee what we will be able to do this summer. I hope that the situation will get better to allow again parties. We need to go back to the dancefloor as soon as possible and to feel again the emotion of staying together listening to music.

What are your hopes for your artistic future at the moment?

I want to go on producing music, improving and professionally growing-up and I wish to collaborate with other djs in order to discover and experiment something new.
I’ve never wanted to define the kind of music I like to play during my DJ sets and I don’t want to do it neither with my creations.
I want to feel free to produce music without being worried to belong to one or another specific category.

Have you recently released or will you release any new music projects in the near future?

My last EP “34 lakeside str.” was released on April 23 on 3-4-1 cuts and I have some new projects ready for the future.
I hope to be able to go out with something else new by the end of the year.
