#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week : NYTO
House music has many forms and ways of expression: over time, since its birth in 1977 thanks to Frankie Knuckles, universally considered officially the godfather, it has evolved and enriched with many contaminations, determining new genres.
Today the protagonist of #MusicInTheAir of Villangar is the DJ and producer Tony Parra aka Dj NYTO, who fully represents this concept: his creative direction includes a wide variation of sounds, from Electronica / Downtempo to Organic House, passing through Deep Tribal , Deep Shamanic, Afro House, Ethnic House, as well as Deep House and Tech House, managing to find his way and his own unique sound in the today’s electronic music scene by interpreting every possible external stimulus. Among his favorite artists, Derun, Sabo, Bedouin and Goldcap. Names that offer sophisticated and multicultural electronic music with a deep level of expression, to offer timeless and universal musical experiences: mystical journeys capable of crossing every border, true spells of hypnotic and bewitching melodies and rhythms.
Musical productions that owe a lot to traditional instruments and the art around us, from poetry, to cinema, to the sounds that nature offers us. And if these are his inspirations, DJ NYTO lets himself be guided and inspired by them.
His origins certainly also have a great impact on his music: he was born in San Diego CA (USA) where he resides, and grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. He loves to enrich his DJ sets with native, Latin, Oriental and African sounds, sometimes even obscure. Also incorporating classical and pre-Hispanic musical instruments.
Since 2017 he has been playing all over Mexico and United States.
He is co-founder of Green Gods Records of San Diego CA, a new label of recent birth, created in 2020.
Today’s #MusicInTheAir Podcast sees the development, in a fascinating and meaningful context of melodic and rhythmic appeal, Organic House, Deep Tribal and Afro House.
