This week, fot Villahangar’s #MusicInTheAir Podcasts the host is a new artist announced at the beginning of the year: producer and dj Miguel Garji, creator of the famous radio show “Deepfusion 124 BPM” on Ibiza Global Radio.

He is pragmatic, concrete, voted to the club culture without compromise. He is a precise professional with his feet on the ground. His value is simplicity and he has a great ethic for his artistic profession: for him a good job, well done and with humility is the greatest satisfaction that there could be. 

His is an experience with a long path, that brought him to playing into important clubs all over the world, with the vivid hope – current time permitting – to keep doing it for a long time.

One of his characteristics is his ability to diversify, adapting his sets to the most various needs, staying true to his personal stylistic code, which provides a range of musical genres from Downtempo to Deep Tech, with the precise goal to create an entertaining and at the same time elegant atmosphere. 

The style with which he identifies himself with mostly is Deep.  A particular predilection for this genre which allowed him to give life to his most loved and successful creation in today’s electronical musical landscape: the radio show “Deepfusion 124 BPM”, which he runs since many years at Ibiza Global Radio.

Dj and producer: when he has time to work in the studio he is dedicated to the production with his friend Javi Viana. From their meeting and collaboration were born many tracks, published on many different record labels worldwide.

Which song do you listen to when you take off your DJ headphones?

None, I like watching TV or doing anything not related to music. But if I had to choose, it would be music from the 70’s, 80’s etc such as Fleetwood Mac, Depeche Mode, New Order, Soft Cell, Dream Sequence.. and many more bands with different styles.

Which are your reference artists / DJs / producers or what advice do you follow?

Everyone in my circle of friendship and musical taste. I could tell you some “TOP dj” but they are the ones that disappoint me the most, lately.

How did your meeting with Villahangar come about and how and why did you decide to promote yourself here?

Same reason that I told, circle of friendship.

What does attention to detail mean to you?

I am a simple person, I just need a cold beer, good company, professionalism and punctuality.

What kind of music do you love to listen to inspire you?

Only good and elegant music. 

Who are your artists of reference for the direction you have taken today? 

Perhaps I would say Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and of course Kevin Yost. There are more but I don’t remember just now hehehe
