This week Villahangar accompanies us again into the discovery of an artist who chose to live in Ibiza: Maricha, DJ, producer and performer from Siberia (Russia).

She loves to define her style “Intelligent Dance”. As a result, sound that explores a sound range of electronic music from Deep House, to Melodic and Organic House to Downtempo.

Doing so she creates both magical sets for intimate parties at the sunset. In addiction, she fascinates the audience with an energy of natural and hectic dance also on the dancefloors of bigger clubs.

Hers is a twofold musical talent. Firstly Maricha has great abilities as a DJ, secondly she also has remarkable vocal abilities, resulting from her experience as a singer in the past.

Therefore, her performances are a synthesis of both of her abilities. It is a flawless combination of DJ sets with live vocal improvisations in order to create an experience that aims to be really unique.

In other words, every one of Maricha’s performances is an opportunity. In conclusion to feel an perceive the aesthetic of a real artist and to live a transcendent experience.

Above all the originality is one of her characteristics. Therefore all of Maricha’s pieces are unusual stories with their own characters, sounds and musical plot. She loves to mix Electronic/Downtempo and Melodic House.

She is very active on the release front. For example, her first EP entitled “Secret” was published for the label WAYU Records on January 17^th 2020 and gained a good support from the colleagues. In addiction her second EP “Spring” was released on Dialtone Records in the recent May 2020.

But this is not all: after that, her subsequent publications scored a great success in the audience too.

Maricha lives in Ibiza and over time here she has pursued her artistic path, becoming known, in the Country where she lives but also abroad. Here she is resident at Ethereal Party and in various beach clubs such as Sunset Ashram, Beach House, Elements.

She takes also part in international events such as Aria, Who Сares and Elements in the famous clubs Heart Ibiza, Pacha and Cova Santa.

Have you been cooperating with WAYU Records for a long time? And what made you choose this label?

WAYU Records is my first label, where I released my debut EP “Secret” a year ago. I’m very excited about our collaboration, because I appreciate WAYU both for a great music and for an awesome friendly atmosphere. I’m really proud to be part of the amazing WAYU family. Thanks for the support.

What do you think about Villahangar? What pushed you to cooperate with this label too?

I think that the collaboration between the two labels WAYU and Villahangar is a great idea. Above all Podcasts are always a great opportunity to get to know new music. In the near future I would love to make my EP on this label too, I’m very in tune with the musical taste of Villahangar.

What kind of historical moment are you living both as a person and as an artist?

I can say that I am currently experiencing a moment of rethinking of my creativity, after it became impossible to constantly exchange energy with the audience, dance and rejoice….. However my main desire now is to go deeper into pure creativity, into accepting the illusory and meaningless of being and, as a result, to feel absolute freedom… Moreover I think that right now is a perfect time for true self-expression.

What are your projects at the moment?

I started preparing a music album as a singer/songwriter, which will include some of my songs and remixes.

What are your hopes for the future both as an artist and as a person?

As an artist, I connect my future not with some hopes, but by certain tasks and actions. On the other hand as a person I understand that not everything always depends on us. In other words sometimes we find ourselves into situations that we are not directly responsible for, like the one we are living right now. But however I’m relaxed, I’m in the flow. I know that I can always find a way to follow my mission, that is “creating love and inspiration in this world”.
