For Christmas 2021 Villahangar welcomes a new artist: Francesco Monti is the protagonist of today’s #MusicInTheAir Podcast. 

His first encounter with music dates back to an early age: at the age of six in a classical piano school. And his path is constantly evolving, thanks to the encounter with new people from whom he always draws new creative lymph for ever new goals.

His sound is characterized by the use of low frequencies with a minimalist base, able to give way to a convincing and enveloping sound. And this thanks to a vast musical culture allows him to achieve a duality, with attractive and fun day and night sessions. The common denominator, without a doubt: quality sound.

Another characteristic aspect of Francesco Monti is the use of new technologies applied to the musical field: a constant interest in being at the forefront makes his musical expression very dynamic and original. In the live, for example, he uses 432Hz tuning and the harmonic mixing technique. A research aimed at experimentation to allow you to see, feel and hear something different.

In his career he has shared the console with international artists such as Sven Väth, Roger Sanchez, Enzo Siragusa and others. In clubs such as Lío e il Destino – Pacha Group in Ibiza, Pacha in Sharm el Sheik in Egypt, Cafe del Mar, Bora Bora and Cova Santa in Ibiza, TAG in Venice, Gate in Millano, San Andres in Colombia, Boho in Kiev in Ukraine and many others.

He has scored excellent positions on Beatport in the Tech House and Minimal / Deep Tech genres and had the support of artists such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Stacey Pullen, Adam Beyer, and many others.

There is also radio in the musical path of Francesco Monti: he has gained great experience in the radio industry in different radio stations such as Vicious, Ibiza Global Radio, Club FM. He currently has a weekly radio program, “Ibiza Talents”, in one of the main radio stations of Ibiza, Pure Ibiza Radio and collaborates with the program Ecoama Djs Radioshow of Cristina Molina, always at Pure Ibiza Radio.

But Francesco Monti is also a teacher: he shares his experience as a producer and DJ at music schools such as Point Blank, one of the most recognized electronic music schools in the world.

Whether in clubs or on the radio, or in productions, the main goal is one: to convey emotions through music.

How long have you been working with Ecoama Radioshow? And what made you choose to collaborate with Ecoama Radioshow?

We met about four years ago during some concerts in Ibiza and San Andres in Colombia. We started collaborating because we have the same way of working, based on professionalism.

What genre do you associate yourself with and how would you define your sound?

In my artist profile I work mainly with two genres: Deep House and Minimal.
In daily situation and elegant places I play Deep House. Then when I have gig in Club I play Minimal.
In both cases I like to keep my minimalistic sound with deep bass, is my sound identity.

Music conveys emotions. Which are the ones you want to transmit with your music?

It depends of the cases, if I’m playing Deep House I like to create a “music travel” for the listener, kind of meditation with deep sounds.
When I’m play in the Club I like to transmit really good energy and let people enjoy to the maximum.

How was your podcast born?

My idea for this podcast is to transmit peace and at the same time to use “serious sounds”, and to finish my set like a movie soundtrack style.

What does it mean for you to be able to spread your music with Villahangar?

For me it is an amazing opportunity to expand my artist profile with a professional brand.
