#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week :
ERRANT
The protagonist of this week’s MusicInTheAir is eRRant, duo formed by Luca and Francesco, born in Italy, in Florence and Turin. A highly evocative name: “we spent the last few years traveling around the world, and this is also why we decided that ‘Errant’ was the proper name with our background”, they tell. eRRant, is a Barcelona-based music movement storytelling about wanderers in search of an adventure. Now they are based in Barcelona.
eRRant communicates through its rhythm and cadence a warm energy, creating a strong atmosphere: a sound shaped by Luca and Francesco’s individual travels and different backgrounds.
They don’t like to define their own musical style, they explain, “Because we don’t like to be hedged in a style, we have different influences that come from our travels and experiences, that can be, from organic and afro, through Latin and also oriental, exploring some progressive house”. The musical genres that influence them the most are in fact Organic, Progressive e Latin house.
eRRant started their musical journey a couple of years ago, “almost like a joke just to have some fun, and things just came by themselves in a natural way. We keep growing day by day”. But theirs is a long relationship with music: they have been playing piano and cello since they were kids. “We have always thought to have this passion for music as a common inner feeling by the powerful energy that music releases itself”, they explain. They truly believe that there’s always something to be learned from each and every individual they’ve encountered along the way, whether the impact is big or small.
They play between Spain and Italy, and worked with labels such as Redolent, Kosa, Hidden Garden, Oriental Deep. As for new releases, they are working on them and are going to be released soon.
Their most recent project is Wanderlost, hosted in Skyfall. Their musical plans for the near future are in fact the production of a few tracks they made, and keep growing their Wanderlost party, in addition to the residency every week at The Roots club in Barcelona. “We have a lot of exiting upcoming project, here in Barcelona and abroad”, they say.
