The number of artists from the Ecoama Djs orbit is growing more and more, the collective of DJs inspired by the Ecoama Environmental Sustainability Ibiza – Ibiza’s professional fair for ecological culture and environmental sustainability – and created by Cristina Molina, who, together with Tania Moon holds the radio program “Ecoama Djs Radio Show” on Pure Ibiza Radio. 

Today Villangar for its weekly MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts a new artist of Ecoama Djs: D Projec, Dj and Producer born in Seville in 1987, he grew up in Ibiza and has been living on the island for 34 years.

D Projec started at the age of 14 in his father’s nightclub. This is where the magic began, then it was in Ibiza where he clearly understood what his musical styles were: he defines himself as dedicated to Techno, Tech house, and Underground.

D Projec has gained more than ten years of professional experience, in the most important clubs in Europe, creating a unique atmosphere on the dancefloor. 

As a protagonist in Ibiza: at Pacha, Privilege, Sankeys, Bora bora, Veto, Lips Beach Club, Hotel Pacha, Cavalli Club, Tantra and Bubbles. Passing through the Spook in Valencia, the Mamboloco in Barcelona, Sala Versalles in Seville.

He shared the console with the best DJs in the world, an endless list: names like Paco Osuna, Paul Ritch, Carl Craig, Technasia, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Sasha Carassi, Mambo Brothers, Steve Lawler, Uner, Vitalic, Uto Karem, Marco Bailey, Umek, Riva Starr, Cristian Varela, 2many djs, Pleasurekraft.

He is a resident of Unusual Suspect Ibiza and the famous Sankeys Ibiza club, but not only: he is also creative director of The Ibiza Project, one of the most important brands on electronic music at national level, with which he has created events in the most important clubs such as Privilege, Pacha, Sankeys, Swag, Cavalli Club, Bay Bar Beach Club, the Lips Beach Club, Dunes, and Spook Valencia, hosting numerous artists such as Wally Lopez, Javier Gonzalez, Mihalis Safras, Ismael Rivas, Collective Machine, Iban Mendoza, Prymate, Chelina Manuhutu, Paul Darey, Toby Holguin, Bjones, Luke Garcia, Vidaloca & Piem, Romeo D ́arret. Karretero, Gaty Lopez, Pablo Say, Danniel Selfmade, Pedro Silva…

He has also had the opportunity to work for events and festivals, with a residency in 2014 and 2015 for The Reverse World (Reverse Ibiza), but also for One Millons Dollars, for Basswalk – resident in 2015, for showcases at Factomania and Noon; also, in Esencia Ibiza, at the UnderTech Festival, Resistence, Fude al Pacha, Monza Ibiza Records, Mamboloco, Kic Cat, Syne, Bora Bora.

He moreover collaborates with labels such as Comic Label, Natural Rhythm, Supermarket Records, The Warrior Recordings, and has performed for Noon, Factomania, Monza, Basswalk, Syne Records.

How long have you been working with Ecoama Radioshow? And what made you choose to collaborate with Ecoama Radioshow?

I have been collaborating with Ecoama Radioshow for more than 5 years, I really liked the project and I share its mission: I find it important to have to take care of the planet.

What are your musical projects for the present and for the immediate future?

Now in Ibiza everything is stopped due to Covid, but we hope to be able to return to work soon.

Speaking of releases, what were your most recent projects, what are the current ones and those of the most immediate future? And which labels have you worked with?

Now I’m working hard in my studio to release new songs and I also made quite a few during the quarantine. I work with labels such as Comic Label, Natural Rhythm, Supermarket Records, The Warrior Recording

What evolution do you think electronic music is experiencing on the international scene?

Well, honestly, I liked it better before. Currently the image plays a preponderant role…

Where are you now? How is the situation of the discos going right now?

Now I’m in Ibiza and the situation is bad since all the clubs are closed.

You are currently a resident of Unusual Suspect Ibiza and the famous Sankeys Ibiza club. You are also responsible for running one of the most important brands on electronic music nationwide, The Ibiza Project. What can you tell us about your residences and The Ibiza Project?

Speaking of Unusual Suspect, everything stopped, and the Sankeys was closed, but hopefully soon we will be able to return to the dancefloor. I am the creative director of The Ibiza Project brand, a promoter created to advertise local and international artists, where we have been lucky enough to work in the best clubs nationwide, such as Privilege, Pacha Ibiza, Sankeys…
