#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week,
in collaboration with GG RECORDS :
BRODERIĆ
This week Villahangar with #Musicintheair Podcasts and its guest dj makes again a new step in its shared path into the discovery of the most creative and interesting realities in the musical landscape.
As a result, today in the spotlight there is the brand new Californian record label Green Gods Records, co-founded by the dj and producer Tony Parra aka Dj NYTO.
Green Gods Records is a label in a natural evolution consequently in the musical area of Green Gods. It is the lifestyle brand with a street imprint, whose success was created in San Diego (USA) in 2016 and with strong Mexican roots, tied to the skate world.
Broderić is the artist for today.
Born this year, in 2020, Green Gods Records is a very recent creation, but ready to grow artistically in music always more.
Not only but also, the premises are great: moreover Green Gods Records is very active and with a great feedback on the podcast, because it scored relevant numbers in its debut year.
This is a new chapter in the #Musicintheair Podcast, written thanks to the precious support of two realities: the Norwegian Deep House Norway and Ephiphany Oslo of the founders and dj Roxānitā and Alexandru Epifanov and of the Texan Patterns Audio, created by owner and creative director CHE.
A goal in common for all in the same way: to sustain quality music and give space to the artists, supporting them in their journey of artistic diffusion and growth.
Broderić is the Dj Guest and protagonist of the #Musicintheair Podcast this week. As Dj NYTO, he is the co-founder of Green Gods Records, Broderić was born and raised in San Diego, California, and Tijuana, Mexico.
Which is the track recommended in this DJ set?
Nohan – Four walls (Lost Desert Remix)
Khen – Born out
Apo Tulup – Parabolic (Balcazar Remix)
How do you approach a dj set? Which is your way of conveying emotions?
Choosing my DJ Sets are usually done depending on the mood I am in. For example this set I was feeling relaxed and calm therefore this set starts slow and deep and slowly progresses to more energetic frequencies.
Which song do you listen to when you take off your DJ headphones?
For instance I listen to a bit of everything ranging from Latin hip hop to Mexican rock and indie artists. However for down time I usually listen to classical piano music and for upbeat music I listen to punk rock music from bands that I listen to since I was a kid. In fact one a random day you can catch me listening to a wide variety of music from hip hop to rap and rock.
What does it mean to you the attention to details?
On the one hand attention to detail for me is ensuring sound are mixed properly by using negative space in music as much as positive. This approach in fact is to give the mix a proper and smooth transition. Whether that be in djing or music production.
Which are your artists of reference for the direction that you took today?
The sound delivered in this set is inspired by organic house and deep house producers. Names such as Khen, Hraach and Armen Miran aswell as renouned Mexican Producer and DJ Balcazar are the main inspirations for this particular selection.
