New appointment with Villahangar’s #MusicInTheair Podcast,
a new artist to discover : Breeze and The Sun.

Dj, and Deep House and Afro House producer, and moreover musician and guitarist.
She is the co-founder of the My Other Side of the Moon label.

Her love for music began very soon, since the early age of six, when she firstly started to play classic guitar and to study theory at the conservatory of music.

Hers is an artistic nature that does not limit to one only musical genre, and that therefore pushes her to the discovery of multiple styles since her early age.

Her passion for music brings her to create a label of her own. She moved to Mozambique, and afterwards Breeze and The Sun co-founded in 2019 the label “My Other Side of the Moon”, playing at We Love Summer Festival in 2019, in the label’s parties and in clubs in Maputo.

Her new home influenced her deeply on the musical side, defining for example her creative spirit with a sweet but powerful African nuance which mixes therefore melodic, emotional an rhythmical deep house sonorities with great appeal and research.

A deep technical knowledge as a musician is what distinguishes her, as much as a personal, romantic and passionate touch, which defines her compositions and dj sets. At the same time another characteristic of hers is the experimentation, exploring the most various sounds.

My Other Side of the Music, the label which she founded, looks to all over the world from Milan to Johannesburg, from Tunis to Washington and aims to bring together various artists in the most ancient and mysterious continent of all: Africa, moreover supporting them in unveiling their artistic and unconventional side, which sees music as a personal journey.

Under the sign of house, deep house, melodic and afro house: doing so deep house and melodic vibrations join mystical and impenetrable electronical sonorities.

What is in your present on a human and on a musical level?

I am hopeful. I hope that this sad time for the entire world will finish soon. But, above all, I hope that it will have brought to all of us a renewed sense of humanity, of respect for one other and for the environment, and that we will always remember what are the things that really matter in life. Music is certainly one of those!  

How do you live now and how did you experiement in your recent past this particular moment of pandemic for humanity?

At moments it has been really lonely. It is hard to adapt when you are living every day at its fullest, and then suddenly you have to reorganize your life without social life! But it has been a good period of reflection, inward looking and creative thinking. In concluson, it will eventually bring its fruits!

What are your musical projects for your closest future?

I want to focus on music production, as I have been doing in the past few months. I want to continue exploring sounds and therefore get high quality releases. And I want to play more the guitar! 

How do you foresee your summer, both in your everyday life and on the artistic point of view?

I certainly see a nice trip, as soon as it will be possible again to travel. Traveling is among the things I missed the most in this past year. Then, hopefully playing again at some nice festivals!

What are your hopes for your artistic moment at this moment?

I hope I will continue to improve, to explore new sounds, new styles. I would like to develop more collaborations with other artists, as I am starting to do at the moment, and I hope that my music will be heard and known more!
