#MusicInTheAir Podcast hosts this week :
AIRBAS
For this week’s #MusicInTheAir Airbas comes back on the scene, dj and producer from the province of Treviso, a third of the DoOrnot, a musical band born a couple of years ago which debuted last June 5th 2020 with the album “Quite Right” with Villahangar.
Besides piano, which he studied since his childhood, his musical roots are deep in the electronic and techno music from the early 90s.
He is very active on several fronts and with many projects, he writes and records since 2012. He distinguishes himself for a musical style with majestic and monumental sounds, besides echoes from the natural world, which combines everything: for example electro-pop to Nu Disco, going through Deep and Tech-House sounds, in order to give birth to electronic typical rhythms mixed with fresh grooves, with marked contemporaneity, with a preference towards melancholic harmonies.
And in the past year, there were different releases: “Prelude” for the label One of A Kind, a collaboration with the talented Russian artist Hrederik. An EP with Paul Daze for the label led by the Supernova Blackboard duo. The single “When The Silence Ends” sang by Sherman Baker on Natura Viva, with some remix versions of Add-us and Dario Dea, and One Way. Lastly, an EP on Diversions Music, label led by OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff.
Some releases, in collaboration with other artists on Suprematic, Kowalsky and Monog, are planned for 2021.
For Villahangar he drafted his TOP 5 of all time, here it is, in a casual order.
The Lioheart Brothers – The Drift (Prins Thomas Diskomiks)
He says: “A brilliant album, to play in the hot moments of the evening, which can find place in a dj set interlocking with ease between various genres”.
Pachanga Boys – Time
He says: “The perfect example of what I often tell myself while I produce, the notes, the tunes make the difference. It is a touching album, very melancholic of recent times but that, according to me, leaves a mark in time. Beautiful in the console for the closing of the evening”.

Da Hool – Bora Bora
He explains: “I have many great memories tied to this album from the half 90s, between the many Bonzai of the time this remains my favorite, overall knowing the quite soft origin as mood and still, if the situation allows it, it end ups in the mixer”.
Spiller – Groovejet
He states: “There is little to do, an album that works, I remember that at the time I bought the promo vinyl months before the track took off and became a hit with the cover sang by Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Anyway Spiller, dj and producer in my area, as always been a personal reference to me, with a unique class and talent”.
Daft Punk – Revolution 909
He comments: this French Touch shall be kept in the suitcase and I couldn’t not insert it. Obviously, the entire album shall be kept in the suitcase.
