Also this week Villahang accompanies us into the discovery of a spanish artist and his artistic imprint: Adrian Alegria, young musician from Basque Country.
He is young from one side, but on the other one he has a solid experience, refined by his dj set and soirees.
And Adrian has in fact produced successful pieces, getting therefore supported by high-profile colleagues and artists.
But he gains his experience as of now by playing in many important clubs in Spain but also in London, where he is dj resident.
His bond with electronic music developed in the course of time. His passion for the musical landscape began with piano at a young age, when he was 5. So afterwards he directed himself towards electronic sounds.
His sounds boasts a personal imprint, with great liveliness and energy and with a great variety of sounds. In fact, he mixes with ease House, Deep House and Techno bases with Afro, Funk, Jazz, soul and ethnic music.
Thanks to this great versatility, he aims to focus on transmitting unique and emotional feelings to the audience.
The signature of a radio-show named Alegria Session is his, of Atica FM in Spain.
Very active, at the moment he is focused on his next musical project.
Which is the track recommended in this DJ set?
The recommended tracks in this set are Nº1 and Nº3, from my upcoming release on vinyl with the incredible remix of Yamil.
How do you approach a dj set? Which is your configuration and your way of conveying emotions?
When I prepare a set I try to show people the songs that I like the most at that moment within my style and of course incorporate my own songs.
My configuration is 2 CD players + 1 vinyl player + Roland TR8. With all this I manage to transmit a story from beginning to end.
Which song do you listen to when you take off your DJ headphones?
I love reggae, funky and soul music, so some good tune of this.
What does attention to detail mean to you?
It is the most important thing for doing a great session and for life in general.
Specifically, from choosing the songs one by one, to creating a dynamic story, to making the right mixes… the details are what makes the difference.
Which are your artists of reference for the direction you have taken today?
At this time I love Yamil´s music. His sound is great and I am very happy with the remix he made for me.
