Leo Guardo – Mbokodo (feat. Tabia)
Villahangar releases its first track for summer 2021 by Leo Guardo, Italian dj, music producer and sound engineer who currently lives in Melbourne.
Focused on music production and sound engineering with over ten years of experience in the audio industry between television and radio, he signed with some of the best labels in the genre, such as MoBlack, King Street Sounds, Tribe Records, Moon Rocket Music, Merecumbe Recordings and Union Records, to name a few.
Faithful to his musical style made of tech, deep and house rhythms infused with exotic, tribal and ethnic elements, for the track “Mbokodo Feat. Tabia” he opted for a rhythm capable of evoking South African atmospheres, to which he added melodic elements with pads and synths in perfect harmony with Tabia’s fascinating voice, capable of exciting and raising important and social issues in the lyrics.
A track with an important and powerful message, enriched by Tabia’s performance, which pays homage to the South African continent for sensations and also for the name: the term Mbokodo, title of the track, in South Africa often refers to the saying “hit a woman: hit a rock”. It represents the strength and courage of South African women, and with them those of the whole world.
