Today for the #Musicintheair Podcast of this week Villahangar has a new guest dj: Miguel Perez III aka CHE, owner and creative director of Patterns Audio.

It’s a new path: in an historical moment such as this one of a global pandemic, difficult for everyone, the right key is to support one another and cooperate.

So, in this way, Villahangar wants to lead to the discovery of the most creative and interesting International realities in the music landscape.

A partnership which avails the precious cooperation of Epihany Oslo & Deep House Norway, focused on qualitative electronic music of various genres and cultures with the focus on a deep, melodic, dreaming and groovy house, thanks to the founder and dj Roxānitā and Alexandru Epifanov.

Patterns Audio is active since 2018, and was officially launched in February 2019 in Texas, USA. In a few years, thanks to a hard work that’s bearing fruits, it became a known name all over the world in the electronic music landscape and keeps growing.

Inspired mostly by the European landscape, it aims to keep a well defined sound and aesthetics, focusing on Melodic House, Techno, Deep House, Afro House, Minimal and Microhouse. With the aim to reach also Jungle and Drum and Bass in the future.

El Paso, its city, stars a great variety of genres for all kind of tastes: Patterns Audio is born as a contribute to the growth of the scene in the city for those who are looking for more obscure and intimate sounds.

An ambitious reality, which dedicates completely its heart and energies to its project. Three base values: respect, high quality, aesthetics.

Therefore, it begins a careful job of global exploration and examination of the proposals coming from the web, in order to select its own artists, chosen basing on their exceptional musical taste and, obviously, thanks to their mastery.

Most of them are true electronic music veterans: djs and producers for years, with most recent ones by their side. The common feature for all: a refined musical taste, noteworthy.

In a complex historical moment such as the one that we are going through, Che and Patterns Audio are convinced that it is important to make available its platform to the artists in a way that will not make them lose the creative momentum and will continue to offer the necessary space, sacrificed because of the lack of events in the complete respect of the restrictions currently requested, and the observance for surgical masks and the social distancing practice in order to improve the situation and bring it back to normal.

For 2020 and the future, Patterns Audio aims to intensify the activity working always closer with artists and sector operators such as producers, DJ, promoters, club owners and record shops owners, giving them an always deeper look with an ad hoc format in which they can talk more intimately in order to tell music, stories and individual journeys. Hoping to come back as soon as possible when the pandemic will end, completely safely, with live showcases.

With Villahangar, it shares the atmosphere and the creative hospitality: spirit, vision and passion for music.

How long have you worked with Patterns Audio for?

I am the Owner and Creative Director for Patterns Audio, and and we’re going on two years of life in February 2021.

What do you think about Villahangar? What brought you to cooperate with this label?

I think that Villahangar productions are very exquisite, I feel that it is looking for a certain sound and I think that it is carrying out well this mission. I congratulate for #UNDERWATER Various Artists that was just released by the way. I will surely support the tracks in my future mixes.

What kind of historical moment are you living?

Last year was amazing, I lived a great growth both as a person and as an artist. I was able to releases mixes on great platforms such as Eletronic Groove, within and thanks to Patterns Audio.

What are your projects for this year 2020-21?

Some projects that have lined up are some live streamings in some locations of our city. There is no physical crowd expected as an audience right now but at the same time the effort and the value in the production will be high. In the plans there is also the launch of a monthly radio program with Bloop London Radio starting from November.

What are your hopes for the future as a person and as an artist?

I just want to keep pushing myself to be always more creative for Patterns Audio, and as an artist to push myself beyond also musically in finding always great records and who knows, maybe the production activity is in the horizon.
