Versatile, tireless and determined audiophile: for today’s Villahangar #MusicInTheAir Podcast the protagonist is Alex Kentucky,
dj and producer born at the Canary Island ad adopted by the Balearic ones.

An artistic path that began very soon with vinyl at 7 years old, and that subsequently sees him very active with much energy on several areas: deejaying, musical production and radio.

These are three aspects of his musical career in the electronic music world consolidated since 2012, with the firm will to never stop learning and working tirelessly.

His tenacity and enthusiasm made therefore Alex Kentucky greatly versatile, explorer of combinations of different styles, juggling in deep house and all of its sub-genres in every environment: from the most elegant ones to the cutting-edge night clubs, until parties at every hour. He is therefore able to offer the right and funny atmosphere with his dj sets in the most different situations and times of the day and of the night.

An international career that touched twenty-five countries, representing the Balearic Islands sound. But Ibiza was the decisive one for him: there he scored three nominations and the Deejaymags awards as ”Best National Dj”, “Best Deep House Dj” and also as “Best Set as Resident Dj at a Beach Club in Ibiza”.

Tireless, during summer he is resident DJ in many clubs: for example at Nassau Beach Club, Cotton Club, Hotel Amare, Santos Hotel and he also collaborates with different promoters in Ibiza.

Last but not least: moreover, Be Adult Music is his music label where you can listen to most part of his current productions.

When and how was your first encounter with music?

Since I was born music always accompanied me from a very young age, I started playing with vinyl at 7 years old.

Which was the key meeting that changed your path?

Ibiza.

What genre do you associate yourself with and how would you define your sound?

I like to combine styles, to investigate and to discover music that brings me emotions. I love deep house and all of its sub-genres. My radio show defines my “Deepfusion” musical style very well.

Music transmits emotions. Which are the ones that you want to convey with your music?

Peace and love.

How was your podcast born?

In 2008 Ibiza Global Radio gave me the opportunity to present my music on the station and since then Deepfusion continues to be one of the most listened shows in the world.

What does it mean for you to be able to share your music with Villahangar?

I have always liked collaborating and contributing to all those who work and fight for music, the Villahangar project is a clear example of it. I am very grateful to be able to collaborate with the label and I wish them the best of the best in all of their projects.
